A few years back I created a special T-shirt for folks who were participants on alt.coffee. The thought of a group T-shirt design began as a communal idea and I took the ball and ran with it, taking the basic idea, applying my graphic arts background, and created something that was a bit special. If memory serves I did three production runs of them— two runs in a dark brown and one run in a tan color shirt. I would have to estimate that there was a total of about maybe 250 to 300 shirts or so.

      A recent article in the NEW YORK TIMES was a short about adding cream to coffee and the implications therein to the taste, whether it should be considered a coffee-pollutant, and using whether or not you add cream as a ruler to judge your snobbishness. The article itself was not the focus of this chapter, but if you look closely, the person in the photo is wearing one of my designs!

      Of course, real barista will notice also that the article centers on coffee and cream while the person in the photo is pouring latte art into a cup to create a cappuccino.
